Unexpected ways to use video in your wedding

Unexpected Wedding Video.jpg

21st century couples who have a firm grip of the virtual world are no strangers to video and the power it possesses. They see video as part of their everyday routine – from scrolling through their Facebook feed in the morning, to the exposure of video within their professional setting, to watching cartoon clips on YouTube with their children – the world we live in is surrounded by video clips, feature length films and everything in between.

This got us thinking about ways you can use video, not only to capture the magic of your wedding day, but to involve and interact with your audience (your friends and family) from the moment you become engaged to footage from your honeymoon. At Full Focus Weddings, we don’t just produce wedding videos, we have years of corporate and business film production under our belt which has given us an innovate approach to our work – and also given us experience in many styles of filming. So without further ado, here are our favourite unexpected ways to use video in the lead up and following your big day:

Proposal

Guys (or gals), if you’re planning to propose this Christmas, why not consider filming the proposal in secret to capture the moment of surprise. Our team of discreet videography ninjas can film the whole thing in 4K quality which you can treasure forever.

Announcement

Forget rushed ‘she said yes’ photos on social media – we can edit your proposal video and short interview with you two love birds which can be the perfect announcement you can upload to Vimeo or YouTube to send to friends and family overseas.

Save the Date and Invitations

Paperless invitations are the future. Inform your guests-to-be the date and location of your highly anticipated wedding through the medium of video. This can include your proposal and announcement edit with the use of some clever typography. Here's an example of one of ours:

Trailers

We love a trailer! If you’re familiar with our packages then you’ll know this isn’t a particularly ‘unexpected’ way to use video but because we are masters of the cinematic wedding video trailer we thought we’d give it another mention – have you seen our latest?

Thank you

When the celebrations are over, there’s only one last thing to do -  saying a big thank you to everyone who made your day perfect. Weddings don’t just happen – they are a product of hard work and dedication from your loved ones. A card is a lovely gesture but while you’re on the video train why not film a collective thank you, personally thanking those who pulled out all the stops to make your wedding day the triumph that is was.

With Christmas soon approaching, we’re anticipating many proposals – if you’re planning to bend the knee this festive period, give us a call to discuss your plan. We can offer ideas and start getting your wedding video ball rolling. For an informal chat, call us today on 01376 619517.
