How I got here
From the moment I first picked up a camera, I knew film would always have a special place in my life. I pursued my passion through formal study, earning a degree in filmmaking, and went on to share that love by teaching film at GCSE, A Level, and Degree levels. While teaching was deeply fulfilling, I felt a growing pull to create something of my own, something into which I could pour all my creativity. That’s when I made the leap into wedding videography.
What drew me to weddings was the beautiful chaos of it all. Unlike commercial or corporate filmmaking, weddings are unscripted, heartfelt, and raw. Every couple’s day is completely unique, and I relish the challenge of capturing those unpredictable and fleeting moments. There’s something electric about being behind the camera, watching a day unfold with so many emotions and stories to tell. I found that wedding videography allowed me to combine technical skill, creative freedom, and heartfelt storytelling in a way that felt deeply meaningful.
My Approach - Discretion & Minimalism
My filming process revolves around authenticity. I adopt a discreet style, shooting from afar or blending into the background to capture genuinely candid moments. Whether it’s the laughter shared with your best friends or a quiet moment exchanged between you and your partner, I aim to preserve those emotions in their purest form. During key moments like the ceremony or speeches, I remain unobtrusive, often shooting from the back of the room so that all eyes are on the people who matter most.
I also keep my equipment minimal and understated—I don’t believe weddings should feel like film sets. By working mostly handheld, I stay mobile and flexible, which allows me to adapt to whatever unfolds on the day while maintaining a natural filming style. When it’s time to edit, I draw heavily on the moments you share, like your vows, speeches, or letters. These are the building blocks of your story. I then align those moments with carefully curated visuals and music that complement the emotion and flow naturally. The final film doesn’t just show your day—it tells your story in the most authentic way possible.

Wedding Films That Matter
Connections between people are the foundation of everything I do. They are the essence of happiness, love, and joy. When I think of weddings, I see a celebration of these connections in their purest form. The day itself is born out of love and shared bonds, and it thrives because of the interactions between partners, family, and friends.
Each wedding is a tapestry of relationships, laughter and emotion, and these connections inspire me every step of the way. Watching the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the tears during heartfelt vows, or the joy on the dance floor reminds me why I chose this path. For me, it’s a privilege to be the one who preserves those memories forever, ensuring that you can always revisit the connections that made your day so magical.
La Famille
Family is at the heart of everything I do - my raison d'être, if you will! I share my life with my wife, two kids, a dog who thinks she's in charge, and two cats who definitely know they are. Our family motto is mostly “don’t step on the LEGO!” which, trust me, is easier said than done.
Isaac is a walking encyclopedia of monster trucks, outer space, and Pokémon, unless he’s sprinting around the house doing his best Ninja Warrior impression - we'll get him to the top of Mount Midoriyama one day! Eleanor is on a personal quest to cover everything in glitter and convert us all to the wonders of unicorns and pink. Together, they specialise in spontaneous dance parties and negotiating for extra dessert.

The cats are both professional nap-takers, part-time cuddle providers, and full-time freeloaders. Don’t expect answers if you ask what they get up to all day. Maisie, our perfect dog and the absolute love of my life, might just be the family’s greatest overachiever: loyal, clever, and endlessly gentle - plus, she’s been quietly campaigning for “favourite child” status for years. So far, my wife’s voting record is suspiciously pro-dog, and honestly, with her puppy-dog eyes and ears that just don't quit, Maisie’s got a real shot at a landslide victory. If treats and tummy rubs factor in, the rest of us don’t stand a chance.
We don’t have any grand traditions, but we’re world-class at movie marathons, spontaneous beach outings, and keeping Maisie thoroughly well-walked. Our biggest talents are making each other laugh, navigating minor chaos, and giving the local pizza place way too much business. As long as we spend regular quality time together we're a happy bunch. After all, time wasted with this fine bunch is never wasted time.
I don’t just craft films, I create a means to relive the moments that matter most
I’m also kind of an unexpected mix. I’m the cook at home, even though my shaved head and rugby-player frame might suggest otherwise. I’m obsessed with quizzes (prepare to be demolished at trivia), and I happen to have an undefeated record in thumb wars, should that sort of thing come up. And listen - I will unapologetically watch every episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race without shame. Personality tropes be damned.
If I could go anywhere tomorrow, it’d probably be Japan because, frankly, it’s just one of the coolest places on the planet, and my son shares my obsession with the culture. But filming a wedding in the Arctic Circle? Now that’s the dream. There’s just something otherworldly about those icy landscapes that screams romance and uniqueness—my favourite combo.

Away from the camera
My friends and family would tell you I’m witty (but not in a "Dad jokes" way, thank goodness), passionate about everything I take on, and perceptive enough to notice the little things that make a big difference. I’m also outrageously authentic—I mean, what you see is what you get. Oh, and while I don’t want to brag, there’s a little charisma thrown in there too… though my wife might argue that point depending on my mood and the number of dad dances attempted during a wedding reception.
When I’m not working on my next creative venture, you’ll find me hanging out with my family, walking our dog, or losing myself in movies. I adore horror and edgy, unpredictable films (we’re talking Oldboy and Battle Royale levels of brilliance), but don’t ask me to sit through a soulless MCU storyline. I want my cinema to make me think and feel something real.
